SUMMARY:Delivering Convection-Permitting Climate Projections for Western A
ustralia through the Climate Science Initiative (CSI)
DESCRIPTION:Sean Lam\n\nConvective permitting scale climate projections in
WA have been delivered through partnership with state governments, univer
sity and Pawsey Supercomputing Research centre. The partnerships halve dat
a production time and cut the computational walltime significantly via opt
imized workflows. The dataset represents the highest resolution regional c
limate projections for WA and supports robust climate risk assessment and
resource planning.\n\nRecording: Not Livestreamed, Not Recorded\n\nRegistr
ation Category: Technical Program Reg Pass, Exhibits Reg Pass\n\nSession C
hairs: Hervey Allen (University of Oregon, Network Startup Resource Center
; University of Oregon) and Tim Osborne (Oak Ridge National Laboratory (OR
 NL))\n\n
