SUMMARY:Post Doctorate Research Associate- Quantum Computing
DESCRIPTION:The Future Computing Technologies Group within ACMDD is seekin
 g a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Quantum Computing. This position of
 fers the opportunity to conduct impactful research in collaboration with l
 eading experts at PNNL and partner institutions, including a team based in
  New York City.\n\n \n\nIdeal candidates will have a strong background in 
 one or more of the following areas:\n\nQuantum error correction, detection
 , and mitigation.\nDeployment of quantum algorithms and protocols on near-
 term hardware.\nMachine learning for quantum computing and simulation of q
 uantum systems.\nEmerging quantum technologies such as neutral atom system
 s and erasure qubits.\nBenchmarking, verification, and validation toolkit 
 development for quantum computing.\nQuantum resource estimation for NISQ a
 nd fault-tolerant quantum computing (FTQC).\nQuantum algorithm development
 , optimization, and circuit transpilation for NISQ and FTQC\n \n\nResponsi
 bilities will include:\n\nConduct innovative research to advance the state
  of the art in one or more target areas, working in close collaboration wi
 th staff scientists.\n\nMentor and collaborate with interns at PNNL, provi
 ding both scientific guidance and academic support.\n\nPublish research fi
 ndings in leading computer architecture and physics venues such as ISCA, A
 SPLOS, MICRO, HPCA, PRX Quantum, Quantum, and npj Quantum Information.\n\n
 Present research progress and results during weekly team meetings and othe
 r technical forums.\n\nCollaborate with interns, postdocs, and staff scien
 tists to help expand and strengthen PNNL’s quantum ecosystem and research
