This hands-on leadership role requires deep technical expertise in architecting, implementing, and administering Linux systems and HPC infrastructure to support our ASIC development teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for the stability, scalability, and performance of compute, storage, and platform infrastructure. The idea l candidate combines technical depth with strong leadership skills and a p assion for operational excellence. \n\nKey Responsibilities \n- Design, im plement, and manage a Linux-based HPC environment with 200+ compute nodes to support development of complex Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), including AI-driven logic design, simulation and design verifica tion, synthesis, gate-level verification, and design emulation\n- Oversee the administration of batch compute systems including SLURM or LSF for opt imal workload management\n- Manage and optimize NFS systems and clustered storage infrastructure to support engineering workflows\n- Oversee observa bility systems (monitoring, logging, alerting) to ensure infrastructure pe rformance and reliability and to drive continuous improvement in automatio n and root-cause analysis\n- Drive adoption of "Infrastructure as Code" an d automated workflows to reduce manual intervention \n- Implement and enfo rce best practices for system availability, performance tuning, capacity p lanning, and lifecycle management\n- Ensure high availability and performa nce of critical infrastructure services including VNC, NFS, license server s and GitHub\n- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand compute r equirements and optimize infrastructure accordingly\n- Lead capacity plann ing and infrastructure expansion initiatives\n- Manage resources responsib le for on-premises hardware installation, maintenance, and monitoring.\n- Drive adoption of AI within the infrastructure team and workflows\n\nMinim um Qualifications \nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred) \nMinimum 10 years of experience in Li nux systems administration with focus on HPC environments, including exper ience with ASIC (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence) and software development workflo ws, strong exposure to EDA tools, and software development environments. \ nDeep expertise with HPC workload managers (SLURM or LSF) \nStrong knowled ge of NFS and distributed storage systems \nExperience implementing and ma naging monitoring solutions for large-scale computing environments \nProfi ciency with infrastructure automation tools and scripting languages (Pytho n, Bash, etc.) \nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and lea dership abilities \nHands-on technical expertise to be able to drive issue root\ncause analysis and remediations \n\nPreferred Qualifications \nExpe rience with Ansible or similar tools for deploying applications or orchest ration of workflows \nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices \nFamiliarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Singularity) \n Experience with performance tuning and optimization of HPC workloads \nExp erience with installation and maintenance of locally hosted LLMs for AI tr aining/inference \nExperience with cloud-based infrastructure \n\nLocation : This is a remote position for employees residing within the United State s.
