SUMMARY:Associate Linux Kernel Engineer
DESCRIPTION:Cornelis Networks is hiring a talented Associate Linux Kernel 
 Engineer to help drive innovation and contribute to the development of cut
 ting-edge technologies in the semiconductor industry. In this role, you wi
 ll be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing the software s
 tack that powers our revolutionary AI networking fabric, working alongside
  a team of industry experts to shape the future of high-performance networ
 king solutions.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n- Design and develop high-perfor
 mance kernel drivers and user-space libraries for our networking hardware.
 \n- Build and optimize networking protocols at L2 (Ethernet), L3 (IP), and
  L4 (TCP/UDP) layers, tailored for AI/ML workloads.\n- Leverage DPDK (Data
  Plane Development Kit) to create exceptionally fast packet processing pip
 elines that bypass the kernel for maximum throughput and minimal latency.\
 n- Conduct deep-dive performance analysis and software optimization across
  the entire stack, identifying and eliminating bottlenecks.\n- Collaborate
  with the hardware team to influence ASIC design and ensure software/hardw
 are co-design principles are met.\n- Develop robust testing, validation, a
 nd debugging tools for our networking stack.\n- Contribute to a culture of
  technical excellence, continuous improvement, and collaborative problem-s
 olving.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Compu
 ter Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\nProven experience 
 in low-level systems programming with C/C++.\nStrong understanding of Linu
 x kernel driver development and internal architecture.\nHands-on experienc
 e with DPDK or similar user-space networking frameworks (e.g., VPP, XDP).\
 nDeep knowledge of networking fundamentals and L2, L3, and L4 protocols.\n
 Demonstrated experience in software optimization, profiling, and performan
 ce tuning.\nA self-motivated and proactive mindset with a strong sense of 
 ownership and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced sta
 rtup culture.\nExcellent teamwork and communication skills.\n\nPreferred Q
 ualifications:\nExperience working with Ethernet/Switch ASICs or network p
 rocessor silicon (e.g., Broadcom, Marvell, NVIDIA, Intel).\nFamiliarity wi
 th RoCE (RDMA over Converged Ethernet) or other RDMA protocols.\nExperienc
 e in developing software for high-performance network interface cards (NIC
 s) or SmartNICs.\nUnderstanding of the unique networking requirements of d
 istributed AI/ML training workloads (e.g., NCCL, MPI).\n\nLocation: This i
