DESCRIPTION:Lightmatter is seeking an experienced Opto-Mechanical Engineer
  to join our Laser and Photonics Packaging Team. In this role, you will be
  responsible for the optical and mechanical design, component selection, a
 nd packaging of next-generation laser and photonics modules, ensuring opti
 mal performance, reliability, and manufacturability.\n\nResponsibilities\n
 Lead the optical and mechanical design of laser modules and detachable con
 nectors.\nCommunicate design concepts, technical findings, and project sta
 tus clearly.\nContribute to optical design of lenses and FAU arrays, and p
 ossess a strong understanding of isolator technologies.\nDesign packaging 
 solutions for DFB lasers in Chip-on-Submount (CoS) configurations and for 
 heterogeneously integrated III-V on Silicon wafers.\nEnsure PIC designs ar
 e optimized for assembly processes such as wire bonding and flip-chip bond
 ing.\nSelect critical components, including optical assemblies, electrical
  connectors and optical connectors.\nCollaborate with suppliers and OSATs 
 (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) from prototype manufacturing 
 through validation and into volume production.\nCollaborate with cross-fun
 ctional teams to ensure seamless integration and successful product delive
