SUMMARY:Supply Quality Engineer
DESCRIPTION:WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nSupplier Quality M
 anagement\n•	Be the primary liaison between the assigned supply base, prog
 ram team, production and nVent customers with a key responsibility to reso
 lve supplier quality issues.\n•	Implement daily supplier management action
 s to improve supplier quality performance and flag, if necessary.\n•	Estab
 lish supplier engagement & cadence.\n•	 Visit supplier locations. Travel u
 p to 30%.\n•	Participate in supplier assessments and internal/external aud
 its as needed.\n•	Coach, mentor and conduct trainings for suppliers as nee
 ded.\nProblem Solving & Corrective Actions\n•	Lead RCCA activities for sup
 plier quality problems.\n•	Issue supplier-corrective actions.\n•	Evaluate 
 whether corrective actions are thorough and effective\n•	Evaluate what imp
 act this may have on our overall relationship with the supplier.\n•	Commun
 icate urgency/severity of concern with suppliers/customer.\n•	Validate the
  effectiveness of the actions taken by suppliers.\nProcess & Product Quali
 ty\n•	Establish strong relationships with the customer, the program team, 
 engineering, supplier partnerships, sourcing and quality department to und
 erstand requirements and production risks and develop plans with each supp
 lier to ensure the highest quality without disruption.\n•	Support APQP and
  PPAP activities for new product introductions and engineering changes.\n•
 	Support suppliers’ process capability studies, FMEA reviews, and control 
 plan validations.\nContinuous Improvement\n•	Leading supplier quality focu
 sed improvement activities to drive zero defect mentality.\n•	Support a co
 llaborative environment with suppliers, operations, quality, program and s
 ourcing teams, and other key functions to cultivate a zero-defect environm
 ent.\n•	Drive supplier development initiatives, including Lean and Six Sig
 ma projects.\n•	Find opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvem
 ent across the supply base.\nCompliance & Documentation\n•	Maintain suppli
 er quality documentation, audit reports, and performance records.\n•	Ensur
 e compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards where applic
 able.\n\nYOU HAVE:\n•	Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Indu
 strial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Automation Engin
 eering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering.\n•	Solid understandin
 g of APQP, PPAP, SPC, Process Capability Studies, FMEA, Control Plans, and
  GD&T.\n•	Proficient in root cause analysis investigation, (such as RCCA, 
 8D, and 3L5Y).\n•	4+ years in Supplier Quality related functions.\n•	Quali
 ty Certifications (CQE, CMQ, CQA) and ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor train
 ed a plus.\n•	Effective communication at all levels of the organization.\n
 •	Ability to coach, mentor and conduct trainings for suppliers.\n•	Good pr
 ocess management, planning and change-management skills.\n•	Some knowledge
