SUMMARY:Supplier Development Engineer
DESCRIPTION:WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE:\n•	Engage directly with
  a broad range of suppliers in multifaceted product categories supporting 
 nVent’s mission to develop safer systems to protect critical customer equi
 pment.\n•	Lead onsite evaluations of supplier operations from design contr
 ol to raw materials through production and all supporting activities to de
 livery.\n•	Support global sourcing initiatives teaming with sourcing categ
 ory leaders on supplier assessments, supplier transitions and supplier/pro
 duct qualification.\n•	Evaluate and improve supplier capability to support
  new nVent products and programs.\n•	Lead supplier performance improvement
  initiatives, conduct supplier performance evaluations, coordinate supplie
 r scorecards and participate in supplier business reviews.\n•	Monitor supp
 lier performance to identify high impact areas of opportunity to drive sup
 ply base performance.\n•	Partner with sourcing category leaders to find op
 portunities for efficiency, improved quality, better lead times, higher de
 livery performance, and cost reduction.\n•	Conduct risk analysis and imple
 ment actions to mitigate, avoid, etc. and develop recovery plans with crit
 ical suppliers to ensure supply chain resilience and rapid recovery when i
 ssues occur.\n•	Assist with the maintenance of our ISO 9001:2015 certified
  Quality Management System as it relates to Supply Management.\n\nYOU HAVE
 :\n•	Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering, Supply Manag
 ement, Business, or related field required.\n•	Ideally 5+ years of proven 
 experience in Supply Management, Supplier Development, Sourcing, Supplier 
 Quality, Quality Engineering or related experience.\n•	Ability to travel u
