SUMMARY:Experiences Integrating Database Support into the OLCF Test Harnes
 s
DESCRIPTION:Nick Hagerty and Dan Dietz (Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORN
L))\n\nIn 2005, the U.S. Department of Energy created the Oak Ridge Leader
ship Computing Facility (OLCF) to deploy one-of-a-kind leadership computin
g resources for researchers across academia, industry, and government. The
se supercomputers are among the largest in the world and often diverge fro
m conventional architectures, demanding flexible and thorough testing to e
nsure their functionality and performance. To support this testing, OLCF d
eveloped the OLCF Test Harness (OTH). The OTH has adapted through more tha
n 20 years of novel architectures. Unique challenges with each system prov
ide opportunities for continuously improving the OTH. The OTH recently rel
eased version 3.0, which implements support for logging test data to Influ
xDB, and version 3.1, which extends support further. Among three well-know
n testing frameworks surveyed, only one documents features that could be l
everaged for database logging. In this work, we describe the OTH and the d
atabase support within, and discuss the challenges, successes, and goals f
or the OTH.\n\nRecording: Livestreamed, Recorded\n\nRegistration Category:
