SUMMARY:Toward Practical HPC Education with MCJ-CloudHub
DESCRIPTION:Kazuichi Oe (National Institute of Informatics); Tomoya Saito
 (Yamaguchi University); Tomoya Tanjo (National Institute of Informatics);
 Jun Nishii, Koichi Okada, Keigo Yabuki, Takahiro Tamesue, and Yue Wang (Ya
 maguchi University); and Atsuko Takefusa (National Institute of Informatic
 s)\n\nIn higher education, there is a growing need for reproducible exerci
 se environments that facilitate teaching of HPC and data science. While Ju
 pyterHub can provide students with a consistent environment, challenges re
 main in operating multiple exercises simultaneously and in building and ma
 intaining the JupyterHub system itself. To address these issues, we have d
 eveloped MCJ-CloudHub, which is designed to support the concurrent operati
 on of multiple exercises through\nintegration with Moodle and JupyterHub a
 nd to enable exercises that use GPU computing. Using Virtual Cloud Provide
 r (VCP) technology, MCJ-CloudHub can be deployed flexibly across both on-p
 remises and cloud environments.\n\nRecording: Livestreamed, Recorded\n\nRe
 gistration Category: Technical Program Reg Pass, Workshop Reg Pass\n\nSess
 ion Chairs: Erik Saule (University of North Carolina at Charlotte), Sushil
  K. Prasad (University of Texas at San Antonio), David P. Bunde (Knox Coll
 ege), and Suzanne J. Matthews (United States Military Academy)\n\n
