  2025)
DESCRIPTION:Andreas Herten (Forschungszentrum Jülich, Jülich Supercomputin
 g Centre (JSC)); Rabab Alomairy (Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MI
 T)); and Jorge Luis Gálvez Vallejo (Australian National University)\n\nHet
 erogeneous node architectures are ubiquitous in today’s HPC landscape. Exp
 loiting the compute capability, while maintaining code portability and mai
 ntainability, necessitates effective accelerator programming approaches. T
 he use of these programming approaches remains a research activity, and th
 ere are many possible trade-offs between performance, portability, maintai
 nability, and ease of use that must be considered. Additionally, new heter
 ogeneous computing concepts are being deployed, like ML/AI chips and QPUs,
  introducing challenges related to algorithms, portability, and standardiz
 ation of programming models.\n\nThe WACCPD workshop highlights the improve
 ments over state-of-the-art through accepted papers and talks. The event w
 ill also foster discussion with invited talks and a panel to draw the comm
 unity’s attention to key areas that will facilitate the transition to acce
 lerator-based HPC, including AI, and quantum computing. The workshop aims 
 to showcase all aspects of innovative language features, lessons learned w
 hile using directives/abstractions to migrate scientific code, and experie
 nces using novel accelerator architectures, among others.\n\nRecording: Li
