DescriptionIgnite your journey into high performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) at SC25! Join us in person on Sunday, November 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for a full-day, hands-on experience designed to spark your curiosity and fuel your skills. Using Purdue’s Anvil supercomputer, the morning session dives into HPC fundamentals with self-guided programming challenges, while the afternoon shifts gears to explore AI concepts through interactive machine learning and deep learning exercises. To access course resources, all participants must attend the 8:30 a.m. login session. Don’t miss this opportunity to ignite your potential—registration is highly encouraged as spots are limited! Registration is now open and will close on November 1.

Pre-Workshop ACCESS Account Set Up Sessions (Required)

Crash Course registrants are required to attend at least one Account Set Up Session. These virtual sessions will be held on October 28 at 9:00 am (EST), November 3 at 10:00 am (EST), and November 10 at 4:00 pm (EST) to help you get an account on Anvil review requirements, what to expect, and why you should know about HPC.

Apply for access to Anvil ahead of the Crash Courses

To apply for Anvil access, follow these steps:

1. For participants who do not have an ACCESS ID already, please go to https://identity.access-ci.org/new-user and follow the instructions listed here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1G9fGTFN8Mk-CaL_EW8O0gean3haayBza/view?usp=sharing

2. Once you have your ACCESS ID, please complete this form:

Once we have your ACCESS ID, Anvil admins will grant you access.

Your Anvil account will remain active for one year, allowing you to complete optional exercises for an HPC & AI Crash Course Certificate. Some students may also have optional access to Frontier, one of the most powerful computers in the world, during the workshop.
