I have had the privilege and opportunity to take a deep dive into computer architecture. From silicon wafer lithography to massively parallel distributed-memory high-bandwidth accelerators, I find myself researching these topics iteratively these days. With all the complexity of these machines, I endeavor to find models that capture the performance and nuance of these platforms in the hope of identifying commonalities between them to enable performance portability across architectures.
