Sylvain Bernard is a Principal R&D Computer Scientist at Sandia National Laboratories with the Software Engineering Research group, with experience ranging from web application development to scientific computing research. Throughout his career, he has worked in avionics, cybersecurity, and held a lead position for a machine learning engineering team. He currently works as a research software engineer, converging HPC and cloud computing technologies to help scientists with their computing needs, as part of the Advanced Simulation and Computing program.
