Hyunjun Kim is a staff researcher at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), where he works on enhancing on-device GenAI performance through an MLIR-based deep learning compiler for Samsung’s mobile NPU series. His latest research focuses on compiler optimization, utilizing large language models (LLMs) and advanced search algorithms. Prior to joining Samsung Electronics, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) and a member of the Advanced Research on Compilers and Systems (ARCS) lab under the supervision of Dr. Hwansoo Han. He received his BS (2013) and PhD (2020) in computer engineering from SKKU.
