Eric Stahlberg
Biography
Eric Stahlberg is the executive administrative director for the MD Anderson Cancer Center Institute for Data Science in Oncology. As part of the leading cancer hospital in the U.S., the institute serves as a catalyst and focal point for cancer team data science efforts, accelerating cancer research and improving cancer care with a priority on patient impact.
Prior to joining MD Anderson in December 2024, Eric spent 14 years at Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research where he spearheaded efforts to create the National Cancer Institute collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy and bring large-scale AI and HPC to cancer challenges at all levels. He also led other initiatives, from bioinformatics to scalable data infrastructure, while fostering the development of multiple global collaborations including use of digital twins in cancer. Eric has multiple publications and has been recognized as an FCW top 100 for his accomplishments.
