Gaowei Chen received his BS in biomedical engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University in 2022. He is currently working towards a PhD in biology at the National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing/Tsinghua Institute of Multidisciplinary Biomedical Research. His research focuses on applying ensemble docking to large-scale virtual screening of small-molecule drugs. Specifically, he develops novel physics-based or data-driven methods for sampling target pocket conformational ensembles to enhance active molecule enrichment, and optimizes algorithms on high performance computing platforms like the Sunway supercomputers to improve its efficiency.
