Ryan Grant is faculty in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Queen's University. His research concentrates on high-performance networking (Portals) , MPI and power measurement and control of large systems. Ryan serves on the Portals Specification Group, the MPI Forum and is the chair of the Power API Specification Committee, a open community specifications group working under the Energy Efficient High Performance Computing Working Group (EEHPC) in conjunction with many industry, academic and national laboratories partners. He regularly consults for industry with his consulting firm (www.askregrant.com).
