Irufan is a Senior Research Software Engineer in the Department of Aeronautics. His work involves the development and maintenance of computational software for the department. He also provides researchers with guidance on software engineering practices to support reproducible research.

Prior to his current role, Irufan worked for over ten years in the automotive and oil and gas industries and held a position as an Operations Manager at Amazon. He has a PhD in Computational Combustion and an MBA from the University of Cambridge, following an undergraduate degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial.
