Brian Tauro

Biography
Brian Richard Tauro earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Illinois Tech in 2024. During his doctoral studies, he was a member of the HExSA Lab, the Upsilon Pi Epsilon Honor Society, ACM, and IEEE, and also served on the artifact review committee for EuroSys.
His research focused on leveraging compiler and OS techniques to enhance developer productivity and performance in datacenter environments. He currently works at Intuitive, where he focuses on virtualizing robotic software to improve flexibility and performance in robotic system development.
His broader research interests include operating systems, compilers, memory disaggregation, OS security, high-performance computing, machine learning, and databases.
