Biography
Eleanor Broadway is an architect at EPCC at the University of Edinburgh. Her role involves both technical, research-driven projects and knowledge exchange initiatives, with a focus on advancing the capabilities and accessibility of HPC. She works on the team supporting the UK’s national supercomputing service, providing in-depth support for users, implementing service improvements and developing training. Her research interests include sustainability, optimizing AI frameworks and porting applications to GPUs. Eleanor is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in high performance computing (HPC), serving as treasurer on the Executive Board of Women in HPC (WHPC). In this role, she supports a global network of chapters and affiliates, helps organize event programs, and creates opportunities for early-career researchers to broaden participation and representation in the field.
