My name is Akinbo Racheal Shade, a current PhD student from the School of Computing Department of Information Technology at the Federal University of Technology Akure Nigeria. An author, writer, and researcher. I Possess a Master's Degree in Computer Science and currently pursuing my Ph.D. The value of education is something that I have understood at a very young age because neither of my parents had an opportunity to attend school. I have had a long-term desire to study Computer Science since my secondary school age as it has become an integral part of modern society. My professional goals lie in my ability to become a stand-out female Computer Science lecturer, solution developer, and research scientist applying problem-solving technologies to make a difference in the lives of students, institutions, communities, and my nation at large. I have received two prestigious scholarships and awards through rigorous research, dedication, and hard work, namely the Grace Hopper Celebration (2018 GHC Student Scholarship Award) and virtually in 2023, in the Udacity Google Africa Challenge Scholarship (2018 Recipient). I founded an educational group called LiSTEM Africa (Ladies in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) with the vision to educate, inspire and empower young girls to choose a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics academic path right from their elementary schools and develop their potential to the fullest, coupled with the mission of building girls to be a better leader and independent women in STEM through training, mentorship, and competitions.
