Kevin is a research engineer at the Institute for Magnetic Fusion Research (IRFM) of the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). He received his Ph.D. in numerical plasma physics from Kyoto University (Japan) in 2017. After a post-doc at the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA), he came to IRFM where he now works on the HPC optimisation of several simulation codes related to fusion plasmas (mainly Gysela, JOREK, Soledge-3X). His research interests include parallel and high performance computing, CPU/GPU microarchitecture, machine learning and quantum computing.
