Biography
Ayesha Shafiuddin is an early-career professional interning at Argonne National Laboratory, where she is assisting with the 2025 Introduction to High-Performance Computing (HPC) Bootcamp. She recently graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from Lewis University, where she combined technical studies with leadership roles, including serving as a student trustee at the College of DuPage and engaging in mental health advocacy.
Her undergraduate experiences included studying abroad at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, where she explored machine learning applications. Ayesha’s research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning and law, with aspirations to pursue a Ph.D./J.D. program that applies retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) models to case theory, evidence analysis, and legal accessibility.
At Argonne, she has contributed to decarbonization research and educational outreach as a STEM Student Ambassador, promoting HPC and AI to peers. As a first-generation graduate and immigrant, she is committed to advancing accessibility in HPC.
