I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Astronomical Institute of the University of Bern, where I focus on performance engineering and optimization of physics codes for space weather research, using tools such as Score-P, Vampir, and TAU, and applying MPI and OpenMP to improve efficiency. Previously, I worked as a Postdoc at the University of Basel on the EU-funded DAPHNE project, where I designed scheduling mechanisms for large-scale data analysis pipelines, contributed to distributed scheduling library development in MPI, and engaged in international collaborations on performance analysis and automated scheduling. During my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Basel, I developed multilevel scheduling strategies and created LB4OMP, a dynamic load balancing library for multithreaded applications, while also leading collaborations on OS and scheduling interactions and mentoring over 16 MSc students. Before my Ph.D., I worked as a Software Developer at the Data Processing Center (UFRGS, Brazil), building backend and frontend systems, and earlier as a volunteer researcher at GPPD (UFRGS), where I developed a parallel algorithm for oil formation research using Hadoop/MapReduce.
