Jessica is a 3rd-year PhD Candidate at Carnegie Mellon University focusing on mechanical design automation using AI. Her research centers on making engineering design faster and less error-prone, particularly in simulation interpretation, a time-consuming area requiring specific domain expertise. While current AI tools struggle with understanding complex simulations, she is developing new paradigms like agentic workflows that keep humans in the design process while enabling automated understanding. She works with Graph Representation Learning, Simulation-AI integration, and Surrogate Models, combining skills from her MS in innovative product design with experience across biomedical, aerospace, and semiconductor industries.
