Biography
Peter Lindstrom is a computer scientist in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). He earned his PhD in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2000 and holds BS degrees in computer science, mathematics, and physics from Elon University, North Carolina. Peter joined LLNL in 2000. He leads several data compression projects, including development of the R&D 100 Award-winning zfp compression software. He previously served as the editor-in-chief of Graphical Models, and he is an IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Contributor.
