Väinö Hatanpää is an Assistant Computer Scientist at the Argonne National Laboratory. He focuses on computational performance of AI for science at large scale. His research interests include performance and scaling of AI applications, distributed training frameworks, model architecture, performance modeling, and improving GPU communication and I/O performance.
