Biography
Venkatram Vishwanath is a Computer Scientist and the AI Lead at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) at Argonne National Laboratory. He works on research and development to apply artificial intelligence and high performance computing to solve problems of national importance. His research focuses on the design and development of scalable algorithms to model and optimize complex systems in scientific and engineering domains and in the design of novel computing systems, including beyond von Neumann-based architectures, to meet the needs of current and future science. He is the recipient of the 2022 ACM Gordon Bell Prize and several Best Paper awards.
