Andy Terrel is the CUDA Python Product Lead at NVIDIA and leads the infrastructure committee of the NumFOCUS foundation. As a passionate advocate for open-source scientific codes, Andy has been involved in the scientific Python community since 2006, contributing to numerous projects. He has held executive roles at Anaconda, Xometry, Boldmetrics, REX Real Estate Exchange, and StoryFit. Previously, he was a Research Associate Scientist at the Computational Hydraulics Group (University of Texas at Austin) and a researcher at the Texas Advanced Computing Center. Andy holds a PhD in computer science from the University of Chicago and has contributed to open-source projects like FEniCS and Sympy.
