Biography
Prof. Peter V. Coveney is chair of physical chemistry and an honorary professor of computer science at University College London (UCL), and an adjunct professor at Yale University School of Medicine. He directs UCL’s Centre for Computational Science, leading interdisciplinary research across physics, chemistry, materials, life, and medical sciences, with high performance computing central throughout. Peter has published over 400 scientific papers, co-authored the bestsellers "The Arrow of Time" and "Frontiers of Complexity" with Roger Highfield, and is lead author of "Computational Biomedicine" (Oxford University Press, 2014), the first textbook on the subject. He is a founding member of the UK government’s E-Infrastructure Leadership Council, and has served as a Medical Academy–nominated expert to the Prime Minister’s Council for Science and Technology on Data, Algorithms, and Modelling, contributing to the creation of the Turing Institute.
