Biography
Dr. Ellis Giles is a Chief Technologist at Coda Solutions, a DOD and national intelligence prime contractor, and researcher for Elex Technologies. Before joining Coda, Dr. Giles was a Distinguished Technologist in AI/ML at HPE and the Technical Advisor to the EVP of the HPC, AI, and HP Labs business unit. Before HPE, Ellis was the Enterprise Architect for mission planning and integration for the International Space Station Program at NASA. He designed and developed T-Rex, an agency-wide AI tool for enterprise classification of 16k NASA projects. At NASA, Ellis received multiple awards for innovations, including 3x NASA at Work awards and space technology group awards.
Dr. Giles holds several degrees from Rice University, including a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. As an undergraduate, he was selected as the most outstanding senior Computer Science student by the Rice Engineering Alumni, and, as a graduate student, he received the Ken Kennedy - Cray HPE fellowship.
