Ron Bewtra is a seasoned technology executive with deep expertise in high performance computing, AI, data management, and enterprise solutions across both the public sector and industry. Most recently, he served as Director of the Leadership Computing Vertical at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), where he aligned strategy and solutions with global customer requirements.

Previously, Ron was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the U.S. Department of Justice, leading modernization efforts in AI, data, cloud, and geospatial technologies. He also held national leadership roles, including Chair of the Federal CIO Council’s Innovation Committee, the Federal CTO Council, and the Federal IPv6 Task Force.

Earlier, Ron served as CTO of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), where he led high performance computing strategy and enterprise-wide initiatives.

Ron continues to collaborate with leaders across sectors to drive mission-focused innovation and technology transformation.
