Biography
Mariano Benito received his BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Cantabria in 2013 and 2014, respectively. He was awarded the prize for the best academic record in his BSc cohort. In 2020, he obtained a PhD degree with Cum Laude distinction in Science and Technology, specializing in Computer Architecture and Technology, from the same institution. His doctoral dissertation, titled Non-minimal Adaptive Routing for Efficient Interconnection Networks, was supervised by Ramón Beivide and Enrique Vallejo, and funded through a competitive FPU grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education. He is currently a Recognized Researcher (R2) at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), in the Accelerators and Communications for High Performance Computing group, and also works as a part-time adjunct instructor with the Computer Architecture and Technology (ATC) group at the University of Cantabria. His research focuses on interconnection networks for high-performance computing systems.
