Biography
Cory Gardner is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Saint Louis University, St. Louis, MO. His work focuses on multimodal deep learning for microbiome and genomic data, privacy and security of biomedical ML (membership/property inference), and GPU/HPC systems for scalable bioinformatics. He previously earned an M.S. in Bioinformatics & Computational Biology from Saint Louis University (2021). He is the first author of studies in Genome Research (2024) and Briefings in Bioinformatics (2025) and has presented work at ISMB/CAMDA and GCASR. His broader interests include efficient representations for sequence analysis and distributed computing for terabyte-scale datasets.
