Àlex Batlle Casellas is a Machine Learning Engineer at Qualcomm AI Research. He received the double degree in mathematics and in data science engineering from CFIS-Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC), in Barcelona, where he is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in advanced and applied mathematics. He developed his final bachelor’s thesis in robotics from the Technische Universiteit Delft, after his internship with Qualcomm, and joined the company full-time in September 2023, focusing on distributed training of Large Language Models. His main interests include high-performance computing for machine learning, AI reasoning focused on mathematics, graph theory and computation theory.
