Giri Chukkapalli

Biography
Giri Chukkapalli is a renowned computer scientist and engineer with over 30 years of experience in high performance computing, parallel algorithms, and supercomputer architecture. His PhD research introduced novel methods for solving shallow water equations using spherical spiral-based finite element meshes. Giri has contributed to major platforms like BlueGene/L and TACC Ranger, and held key roles at San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC), Sun Microsystems, Oracle, Cray, Broadcom, and NVIDIA. His expertise spans performance analysis, system architecture, and energy-efficient ARM64-based SoC designs for pre-exascale systems. At NVIDIA, he leads innovation in the CTO office, advancing the Grace chip architecture.
