Graduated in 1992 with a B.Eng. from the Faculty of Engineering, The University of Tokyo.Completed the M.S. program in 1994 and earned a Ph.D. in 1997 at the same university. Currently aProfessor in the Department of Information and Communication Engineering, Graduate School ofInformation Science and Technology, University of Tokyo. Research specialties: parallel anddistributed computing, system software, and programming languages. Member of ACM, IEEE, andUSENIX.
