Gerald Baumgartner’s research focuses on compiler optimizations and high-performance computing. He has been the architect of the Tensor Contraction Engine, a compilation and optimization framework for translating quantum-chemistry tensor contraction equations into efficient parallel code. He is currently working on scheduling such computations in the cloud.
