Neil Mehta is a performance engineer in the Applications Performance Group (APG) at NERSC. He completed his PhD in aerospace engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2020. His area of expertise is in performance optimization and benchmarking of particle-based codes. His current projects include the development of hybrid C++/Python algorithms with data transfers between the two languages directly on GPU memory. He is part of the EXAALT molecular dynamics and EXARL reinforcement learning ECP teams.
