Biography
Sabine Mehr is currently chief quantum projects officer at GENCI (Grand Équipement National de Calcul Intensif). In this role, she is involved in the deployment of the France Hybrid HPC Quantum Initiative (HQI), in collaboration with the CEA, Inria, Eviden, and many other partners. She is also involved in the European High Performance Computer–Quantum Simulator hybrid (HPCQS) and EuroQCS-France projects, which aim to couple the Joliot-Curie supercomputer with various quantum computing technologies. As partner of the EuroSSQ-HPC consortium led by SURF, she takes part in the acquisition by EuroHPC of a silicon-spin quantum computer.
Sabine is the coordinator of the EuroQHPC-Integration project, which federates HPC-QC integration across six supercomputing centers in Europe. In the context of the Paris Region Quantum Pack, she has accompanied industrial end-users, academic labs, and start-ups in a dozen initial explorations of practical use cases using quantum computing. Prior to this, she worked for four years at Atos Bull on the Quantum Learning Machine (now Qaptiva), and at Quandela as business developer. Sabine trained at ESCP Europe and Supélec, where she specialized in computer systems.
