Biography
Kevin Sala is a postdoctoral researcher in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). His research focuses on advancing compiler and runtime support for accelerating code execution on GPUs, particularly in the HPC field. He has been involved in LLVM/OpenMP offloading since 2022 and the OpenMP language standard since 2024. He is passionate about parallel programming models, parallel architectures, and high performance computing. Kevin received his PhD in computer architecture from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 2024 in Barcelona, Spain.
