My research focuses on high-performance computing, especially in efficiently carrying out density functional theory calculation with both numerical and HPC+AI methods. I am now a Professor at Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Recently our work in using HPC+AI to accelerate ab initio Molecular dynamics(AIMD) has successfully pushed the limit of AIMD by 4 orders of magnitude both in terms of spatial and temporal scale. I am very fortunate to have received the ACM Gordon Bell prize (2020).
