Biography
Seth Ockerman is a PhD student in computer science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, advised by Professor Shivaram Venkataraman. His research focuses on identifying and alleviating systems bottlenecks in machine learning workloads on high performance computing platforms. His graduate studies are supported by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program, and he was funded as W.J. Cody Summer Associate at Argonne National Laboratory in 2024 and 2025. Prior to graduate school, Seth earned a BS in computer science from Grand Valley State University.
