Harshitha Menon

Biography
Harshitha Menon is a computer scientist at the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). Her research focuses on large language models (LLMs) for HPC code development. She has conducted extensive work in creating AI-assisted tools for automated code optimization, embedding surrogate models into scientific applications, and integrating traditional machine learning techniques into HPC workflows. She is the lead principal investigator (PI) for the Productive AI-Assisted HPC Software Ecosystem project under the Department of Energy's Advanced Scientific Computing Research (DOE ASCR) program, as part of the AI for Science initiative.
Harshitha received her PhD in 2016 and her MS in 2012, both from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is a recipient of the ACM/IEEE CS George Michael Fellowship in 2014, the Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship in 2014, and the Siebel Scholarship in 2012.
