Sam Foreman

Biography
Sam Foreman is a computational scientist with deep expertise in high performance computing (HPC), scientific machine learning, and open-source software development. He works at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) at Argonne National Laboratory (ANL). His current research focuses on large-scale foundation models, distributed training on supercomputers, and generative modeling for physical systems. He has extensive experience in scientific collaborations, AI-for-science initiatives, and contributing to open-source tools in PyTorch, HPC orchestration, and physics simulations.
