Darrel Robertson

Biography
Darrel Robertson is an aerospace engineer in the Supercomputing Division at NASA Ames Research Center in California. He has been a member of the Engineering Risk Assessment team and the Asteroid Threat Assessment Project since 2014. He specializes in running high-fidelity computer simulations, including launch vehicle accidents and asteroid impacts, from small grains hitting spacecraft to large ones hitting Earth. Darrel earned his BSc in physics with space science from the University of Leicester in England, and his MS and PhD in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
