Dr. Rick Muller is vice president of Quantum Systems at IonQ Inc. Prior to joining IonQ, Rick was director of the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA), senior manager of Quantum and Advanced Microsystems at Sandia National Laboratories, and director of the DOE National Quantum Initiative Research Center Quantum Systems Accelerator. Rick has a background in quantum chemistry and materials science and is interested in quantum information science, high performance computing, semiconductor physics and fabrication, material and molecular design, and how combinations of these can help advance scientific discovery for national impact.
