Dr. Mahmoud Abdelsalam received his MSc and PhD from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), in 2017 and 2018. He worked as a postdoctoral research fellow with the Institute for Cyber Security (ICS), UTSA, and as an assistant professor with the Department of Computer Science, Manhattan College. He is currently working as an assistant professor with the Department of Computer Science, North Carolina A&T State University. His research interests include computer systems security, anomaly and malware detection, cloud computing security and monitoring, cyber-physical systems security, and applied ML.
