Biography
Sebastian Milinski is a Senior Scientist at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), where he coordinates the Destination Earth Climate Change Adaptation Digital Twin. With extensive expertise in climate science, Sebastian oversees the development and implementation of a cutting-edge climate projection system that supports decision-making for climate adaptation strategies across Europe. His work focuses on coordinating interdisciplinary teams to integrate advanced climate modeling capabilities with high-performance computing infrastructure, enabling unprecedented resolution and accuracy in long-term climate projections. Through the Destination Earth initiative, Sebastian drives innovation in climate digital twin technology, facilitating the translation of complex climate data into actionable insights for policymakers and stakeholders.
