Dr. Andrew Gettelman is a senior scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory with a joint appointment at the University of Colorado Boulder. Andrew specializes in clouds and climate change, and specifically development and analysis of global model simulations of the climate system with a focus on the development of physical parameterizations of clouds in global Earth system models for weather and climate. Andrew focuses on high-resolution modeling and understanding the risks of severe weather, and how that information can be made more useful for stakeholders.
